Vegan chickpeas w. injera

Vegan chickpeas fitfit (with injera) | ልዩ የፆም መረቅ ፍትፍት አሰራር በሽምብራ

This is an Ethiopian dish made with chickpeas stew and pieces of injera.
 It is delicious! It is called Fitfit. 

ምርጥ የሽንብራ መረቅ ፍትፍት, ጤናማና በቀላሉ ሊዘጋጅ የሚችል, ለሆድ ቀለል ያለ


Ingredients
1 cup of tan chickpea 
1 small red, 
1 jalapeno,
1 tomato,
   salt and pepper (as needed)
1 tsp black pepper 
1 tsp cardamom powder 
2 tsp ginger and garlic paste 
1ts turmeric or Ethiopian Erd 
1/2 tsp dry rosemary powder (or fresh rosemary)
1 1/2 cups of water
1/4 cup cooking oil 

How to make it:

Rinse 1 cup on tan / beige chickpeas and bring it to boil with 2 cus of water .. just in case 

While chickpeas boil.....

Chop the onion, tomato and jalapenos in small pieces

Sautée onion with oil

Add all spices: salt, black pepper, cardamom powder. ginger and garlic paste and turmeric or Ethiopian Erd 

Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook them all together.  

Check on the chickpeas and when well done.....

 Add them to the sautée you are making (if the water is still there from boiling, add it or use it, no need to discard)

Cook them together for about 2 min, add salt (as needed) and 1cup of water to finish the stew. 
Let it boil for about 5 - 10 min. 

Get pieces of injera to make the fitfit, add chopped jalapenos. 
You are done
